Earlier, I was browsing through art and saw a picture of Calvin and Hobbes. Seeing the pictures brought back memories of reading the comic and enjoying seeing Calvin interact wiht his imaginary friend Hobbes in many humorous ways. So then I started drawing a picture of Calvin, but to be orginal decided to make it an older verison of Calvin. Then I decided to have him holding Hobbes in a doll form. I then drew his face but drew his expression in such a way it got me thinking about what he's thinking about in this picture, and why he holds that expression on his face. Is he remembering the fun times he used to have with Hobbes and is dissapointed that that feeling has gone away forever? Maybe he could never relive those experiences he had with hobbes because he was so exposed to reality that now he only views Hobbes as the doll he is. Perhaps this drawing is metephorical for a phase we all face in life which is growing up and losing many values we once cherished. Or maybe I'm going to deep with this and he's just thinking about how dumb he was as a little kid going around playing with a doll and not interacting with anyone. What ever Calvin may be thinking is up to you! Anyways, hope you enjoy the drawing!
